Stephen > I was lucky in that in one of my trips to Rockport, Texas, I was able to find this Great White Heron which is a white morph of the Great Blue Heron. Of course I wouldn't have been able to find it without Kevin Sims, the operator of Aransas Bay Birding Charters. His knowledge of the area is indispensable! Rockport, Texas, January 2009

Stephen > As we were travelling slowly up a small inlet into a bayou off of the East Fork of the San Jacinto River near Huffman, Texas, I spotted this great blue heron hunting among the lily pads. I took just a few pictures from the boat before it decided that we were getting too close. June 2008
