Stephen > While on one of my birding outings, I noticed somewhere between 50 to 70 cattle egrets in a large pasture where some cattle were grazing. This is just one of the many I saw that day. Stephen > This cattle egret nest was located near the ground in dense foliage at the UTSW Rookery. It was extremely sunny at this time of the day and very hot.
